Czech composer Antonin Dvořák wrote his charming Sonatina, Op.100 for violin and piano in 1893, during his stay in the United States. It was intended for his own children but is no less delightful for 21st century players of all ages. We provide here a transcription of the violin part for alto flute, which we ourselves have played often & performed.
“A Grand Trio for Three Flutes, Concertante”, Op. 102, was Charles N. Weiss’ favorite trio, which he dedicated to his brother. A weathered copy of the original print edition was found in the Gassett Collection, and the piece was re-notated by NSM.
